Beijing (ABC Live): India's Abhinav Bindra becaome first Indian sportsperson to start his country tally in Beijing Olympic when on Monday he won the gold medal in the Men's 10m Air Rifle in Beijing.

Bindra topped the competition with 700.5, followed by China's Zhu Qinan, with 699.7points and Finland's Henri Hakkinen of points 699.4.

The gold medalist, Indian defeated gold medalist at Athens 2004, China's Zhu Qinan with fine margin and brought first gold for India.
